The Puzzle: Vino Vault Wine Bottle Puzzle
Position a bottle of chosen vintage wine or perhaps a select bottle of liquor in The Vino Vault. Choose a five letters code and lock the bottle in the puzzle, then present it to your dinner guests. Your guests may develop sour grapes if they're not able to figure out the word code which will open this puzzle wine bottle lock.
You can easily set it yourself. Vino Vault wine cryptex comes with an instruction sheet to guide you through resetting the five letter code word. It's fairly simple.

Although the Vino Vault wine cryptex accepts many standard 750 ml bottles, there are some size and shape limitations. Bottles must be less than 3-1/4" in diameter and no taller than 11-3/4". This permits use of many bottles, but Champagne, Chianti, and any "unusually shaped" bottle will not fit. Some Pinot Noir bottles fit, but we've found that many of these bottles tend to be shorter and larger in diameter. Whites like Rieslings, Chardonnays, etc tend to come in taller, more slender bottles that exceed the height requirement. Your best bet on finding suitably sized bottles are reds like Cabernets, Merlots, Shiraz - burgundy style bottles. Also if you want to string your friend out for a while, you are better off choosing a red that will age.If you would rather not walk into an expensive wine shop with a tape measure and get some funny looks from the proprietor, we have a two page template that you can print out (provided with the product).Holding the bottle and comparing it against the outline will tell you pretty quickly whether you've got one that's going to fit or not.The Game: Spin the Bottle

Crack the codes by solving game clues that allow you to open the Vino Vault and capture the bottle inside. Watch out! Unless you have amnesty, someone might capture your bottle. Enjoy good company, food, and wine in a party atmosphere while playing a fun adult game. At the game’s end everyone will take home a different bottle. The better you are at solving clues and cracking codes, the better chance you’ll have at capturing your favorite bottle of the evening.

Overview
Spin the Bottle is to be played around a table while tasting wine and food pairings at dinner parties or other events. It can be played leisurely during the course of the event with breaks taken to get up and socialize. Although hosts can provide the food & wine, it’s much more fun if guests participate by bringing a food paired to match along with two identical bottles of wine. The theme of the game could center on a particular wine type such as reds, whites, blends, or more to a specific varietal like Merlot, Cab, Shiraz, etc. Themes could include wine regions such as Sonoma, Paso Robles, or appellations like Carneros, Alexander Valley, or McLaren Vale. Not to suggest gambling by any means, you could propose a price range so that you don’t end up with someone bringing (clue: a four letter word typically used to describe something unsavory), unless of course that’s the theme of the party…which could also be interesting.
